自從某次吃了肯德基的coleslaw之後就喜歡上了這道菜。
好幾次到某些餐廳吃了他們"知名"的Coleslaw也都覺得不是太酸就是不夠味,還是肯德基的好吃,但肯德基的Coleslaw不便宜,尤其綠色與紫色捲心菜在這裡賣得這麼便宜,更讓我覺得在肯德基買很不划算,某天,在身體裡的好吃蟲的催促下,終於認真找了食譜,試了這個TODD WILBUR'S TOP SECRET RECIPES - KFC Cole Slaw,整個驚為天人!!!這就是肯德基啊!!!

KFC Coleslaw

Recipe Type: Salad

INGREDIENTS

1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup buttermilk
2 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 1/2 tablespoons white vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
8 cups finely chopped cabbage (about 1 head)
1/4 cup shredded carrot (1 medium carrot)
2 tablespoons minced onion

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Be sure cabbage and carrots are chopped up into very fine pieces (about the size of rice).
2. Combine the mayonnaise, sugar, milk, buttermilk, lemon juice, vinegar, salt, and pepper in a large bowl and
beat until smooth.
3. Add the cabbage, carrots, and onion, and mix well.
4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
Serves 10 to 12

 

PS. 家裡沒有Buttermilk的人可以試試看這個Homemade Buttermilk,不會太酸,放在這個食譜裡很對味。

Homemade Buttermilk

INGREDIENTS

1 cup milk


1 tablespoons fresh lemon juice or white vinegar


INSTRUCTIONS

Combine ingredients and let stand 5 minutes.

  1. After 5 minutes, mix together well and use as buttermilk in any recipe!
    1. Use as needed in a recipe, or cover and refrigerate until needed.
